The NLDS and Books

This weekend is brought to you by the National League Division Series and books.

Today marks Game One of the NLDS. The Braves are playing the Dodgers, and it’ll be the best out of five. Games one, two, and five (if necessary) will be played in L.A. Game three and game four (if necessary) will be in Atlanta. I heard that the Braves are the underdog, but I am keeping the faith that they’ll do well.

Along with watching baseball, I am currently reading I Know This Much is True by Willy Lamb (purchased at the Bookstore on the Hill, Richmond Hill, GA). The nearly 900 page book has been on my bookshelf for a while. One of my goals, which I have only been quasi-successful at, is to read the books that have been on my bookshelf for while. This just happens to be one of them. I am less than 400 pages in and some parts of the book have been tough to read, but I am determined to get it done.

In the next couple of days, I’ll also be starting We Burned So Bright by T.J. Klune (purchased at Elderberry & Plumb Bookstore in Springfield, Illinois. It was one of my recommendations for book club, and it was selected for the next meeting. So, I’ll be reading that alongside the other book. I’ve been reading two books at the same time a lot recently. It’s not always easy to do that, but I like having the ability to have options if I am getting tired with one book.

That’s it for this week. See everyone next time.
